Rocky Mountain Custom Cuts

Rocky Mountain Custom Cuts offers Certified Organic meats, brought to you by Rocky Mountain producers with help from thousands of acres of grazing land and some of the cleanest water and freshest air anywhere.

All cattle are raised by certified organic livestock producers. Each producer is inspected by a USDA Certified Inspection Agency and must maintain specific standards in order to become a Rocky Mountain Custom Cuts producer. Their farmers and ranchers believe that using environmentally friendly agricultural practices and livestock friendly animal husbandry techniques not only create a good product but are the right things to do. Their producers do not use antibiotics or growth hormones and livestock are never penned as in commercial feedlot practices. Rocky Mountain Custom Cuts livestock are only grass fed on certified organic pasture.

Mountain State Lamb Co-op

Mountain States Lamb is a cooperative of 127 family ranchers in 10 western states.  Many of their members are fourth and fifth generation sheep producers.  Together they raise premium quality natural lambs in the mountains and wide open areas of the American West. Mountain States Lamb Cooperative members are committed to sound animal husbandry practices and sustainable agriculture.  Lambs are handled with care and raised the way nature intended on lush pastures, with plenty of clear, clean water. Lambs are never, ever given added growth hormones or antibiotics and are fed a strict vegetarian diet. This attention to quality results in a delicious, tender, and nutritious natural protein for American families.

Country Natural Beef

In 1986 fourteen family ranches formed a consumer driven beef marketing cooperative with a vision to protect open spaces by preserving the rural culture and families that nurture them. Country Natural Beef is a conduit allowing individual family ranches to own, control and finance their beef from birth of the calf to our retail customer. This conduit serves as a two way bridge - providing value to our customer's meal and meaning to their rancher's work.

Country Natural Beef is third party certified for humane animal practices and environmentally sensitive land management by Food Alliance.

Country Natural Beef cattle are fed a 100% vegetarian diet.  For the first 14-18 months of the animal’s life they are on native range grasses, seeded pastures and hay; to assure a year around supply, some ranches use winter growing lots and the cattle are fed a high roughage ration based on silages and hay before they come to the feedlot.  They spend an average of three months at a gathering feedlot on a diet of potatoes, grain, and hay. All cattle are USDA approved as grown without hormones or antibiotics.

Montana Legend Beef

Montana Legend is your link to a select group of small farmers and ranchers in the Rocky Mountain West who raise beef the old fashioned way: focusing on best-taste, not least-cost. Started by a ranching family who has raised beef in south-central Montana since 1901, the Montana Legend producer group now has nineteen ranchers and farmers, all working together to provide consumers drug-free, all-natural, Angus beef—directly off the ranch.
