Eco Fair and Spring Earth Festival began in 1999 to provide community-oriented, celebratory, creative, engaging, and inclusive opportunities for residents and visitors alike to experience the wild character of Jackson Hole.
In April of 2009 the Jackson Whole Grocer partnered with Pursue Balance to put on the 11th annual Earth Week celebration, culminating with the Eco Fair Festival in the Jackson Whole Grocer parking lot. In 2010 the event was moved to Powderhorn Park, located behind JWG, offering the community a new venue within a park-like setting.
Over 1500 participants came to the fair to learn about local eco-friendly organizations as well as enjoy local foods, and musicians. Over 80 vendors created environmentally focused booths to display what they have done for the planet over the past year. Vendors ranged from all over including green-builders, landscapers, and cleaners, to Eco tour companies and local brewers.
